First thing I would do is pay off all my credit card debt, then I would want to be sure my 85 year old mother was well taken care of should she need assistance (not yet but soon maybe). Then my dream is to open up my own health and wellness day spa (I am a massage therapist and energy worker) to assist people in living a more fulfilling and healthier lifestyle without using medications.

I’d pay off the kids’ college, get them out of the house, and then run away (fly away?) with the RAFFLE FAIRY!

I would pay off our credit card debt and use the rest to pay for college for two of my kids, one of whom is going to law school, so the money would be a fabulous help, but still not cover everything!

I would pay off my student loans and then buy a burger with what i had left…

I would pay off my student loans and credit cards. Then I could go to vet school and still have enough left over to pay off my parents house and cars for them.

Save it for my daughter’s college education.

I’d put $50,000 in my “Oh Dear!” fund (emergency cash reserve); spend $15,900 on my dream car (fully restored 1967 Ford Mustang); $15,000 to charity; $45,000 for the inevitable taxes (don’t forget that!!); and the rest to replenish my retirement/investment accounts. Boy, it goes quickly, doesn’t it?

Cash? I guess that would be great, but I’m hoping my daughter wins the condo with the 2 tickets I gave her for Christmas. She’s a single school teacher, and we’ve been beating the pavements looking for a nice 2 bedroom place she can afford, and the location is GREAT. It’s disheartening to see her teach all day and coach all evening and still not be albe to afford a place of her own! I’m keeping my fingers crosses!

I would divvy up the money and put some away for college. I’d put some away for my car. I’d make sure that my family was well off finacially before buying anything major. Then I’d go on a shopping trip and maybe a family vacation!!

  12. Barry says:

After Uncle Sam gets his share, I would put 3/4 of it away for my three childrens colleg expenses; the remaining 1/4 would be divided between NCO Youth & Family Services here in Naperville and retirement savings. Maybe a little for a nice dinner with my bride.

Help my Mom.. having a disabled mom at 19 years old isn’t cheap and easy to afford. Make sure she had someone to take care of her forever, not just me 24/7. Like a in home nanny and buy a home for her and that would probably spend all of the money. Down Payment and then put it into a saving thing so she can be set for life.

All the rest of you good luck! Especially to those who will donate! =)
